"Is Russia Cold?" (ロシアはさむいですか？ Roshia wa samui desu ka??) is the third chapter of Volume 3, and eighteenth overall of the SHY manga series.
Summary
In order for them to dig deeper into why Tzveta Kooriskaya is so similar to Pepesha Andreanova, Teru Momijiyama goes to Pepesha's home country, Russia. A little nervous, she soon meets her and they both leave together, with Teru noticing that the other one is drunk. When questioned, Pepesha only asks if Teru would recognize her being sober, and she didn't know how to answer.
They both soon arrive at Yuri Orphanage, where Pepesha grew up, and a man quickly greets them happily, named Isaak. Pepesha introduces Teru and Isaak praises the Japanese's Russian, but it was merely an unique ability given by the Heart-Shift Bracelets. When they enter, the children are overjoyed to see Pepesha, and Isaak tells Teru that she had left the orphanage ten years ago, but continued to visit and give gifts to the children, as well as keep the institute running. Teru notes that even without revealing her identity, she is still a hero.
Pepesha then asks for the albums and Isaak takes them into a room, handing them over. After she says that she just wanted to satisfy her curiosity, Isaak asks her to be careful when drinking and Pepesha, embarrassed, agrees. As they look through the albums, Teru shyly asks if Pepesha is an orphan, to which she agrees, saying she left when she was 17, but always come back sometimes. She shows Teru a picture from when she was younger, only to note that they probably wouldn't know more about Tzveta with pictures of herself. However, Teru notices a photo that ends up falling out of an album and Pepesha says it's a photo of her mother.
