"When I Cough, I Am Not Alone" (せきをすればふたり Seki wo sureba Futari?) is the sixth chapter of Volume 4, and thirtieth overall of the SHY manga series.
Summary[]
Teru Momijiyama walks alongside Iko Koishikawa to school, but she doesn't feel well and collapses. Iko takes her to a clinic and the doctor tells them she has just a cold. As Teru is sick, Iko calls the school to notify them about her friend's sickness, to which they say she can go home and rest. Iko offers herself to take her home and does so by piggybacking her. Even though she is really embarrassed, Teru likes to ride Iko's back.
After arriving, Iko leaves for a bit to buy some stuff, so Teru changes clothes and lies down on her bed, asking N. Villio to put her school uniform away. She dreams about her sister taking care of her, and asks to ride her back again, only to notice that she said that to Iko, blushing. Iko seems happy about it, though.
Iko shows her what she had bought and Teru compares her to her reliable sister who passed away. Iko confesses she feels comfortable around Teru as she noticed heroes are also normal people and that she admires her. She gets up to leave and Teru thanks her for her help. Before she leaves, however, Iko asks Teru to call her by her first name.
When she recovers and go back to school, she is able to take a step forward and greets Iko, calling her by her first name.
