"Secret" (ひみつ Himitsu?) is the first chapter of Volume 5, and thirty-third overall of the SHY manga series.
Summary
Ai Tennoji reveals to Teru Momijiyama and Iko Koishikawa that she is being followed by someone, thus she ran away from home as her parents nor the police would believe her. She doesn't really know who is following her, but asks them to let her accompany them for a while long as it's the first time she left her hometown.
While they are walking, Teru is rather curious about her swordsmanship skills, to which she tells them that she comes from a shinobi clan. Iko is skeptical at this and think it's a joke, however, before Ai can say anything, a boy comes falling out of the sky. Ai attacks him with her sword, sending him flying, and even though she is fatigued, begins running with Teru and Iko to a nearby temple.
As she recovers, Ai tells them that that boy is the one that has been following her, and says that they should keep moving before he finds her. Iko and Teru are still skeptical about her being a shinobi, however, Ai steps in false and is about to fall down the stairs for the temple. Teru wouldn't have time to transform and save her, but thankfully that same boy saves her. He introduces himself as Tokimaru, and he wants to take Ai back to their village.
