“ | This world is but a fantasy. I am determined. All shall be reduced to nothingness. | ” |
— Utsuro Karakururi's monologue |
"Cloud in the Dark" (クラウド・イン・ザ・ダーク Kuraudo in za Dāku?) is the sixth chapter of Volume 5, and thirty-eighth overall of the SHY manga series.
Summary
Adam Rockwell, Pepesha Andreanova and Davie Wonder John are reunited to discuss the last report from Unilord. Adam is not having Davie's smoking and Pepesha's drinking habits, however, and stops them from keep doing it. Davie theorizes that the Amarariruku may want to trap the heroes inside their personal space to defeat them, but Adam thinks it may be a reason more profound than that. Pepesha worries about the same thing that happened with her mother happening again, and wonders about Teru Momijiyama.
Shy laments that she was only able to throw one rock at a time at the tree while resting for a bit. Iko Koishikawa asks Ai how she arrived there, and she explains that she learned how to take the train, but had to switch them many times, which was definitely tiring. Iko wonders if Ai has been to Tokyo, and she says that it was like a maze. Somewhere near, Tokimaru notices many birds flying away from something.
Ai continues on mentioning the Tokyo Tower that she was never able to visit, and finally decides that she prefers a much more calming nature city. Their conversation is interrupted, however, as Purity calls her, as well as N. Villio with Shy. Standing at the top of Tokyo Tower are Utsuro Karakururi, Doki Baragaki and Inori Hallelujah. Utsuro wonders how will this plan work out, and proceeds to envelop a part of Tokyo in a dark dome of void.
