"Nothing is Permanent" (
Summary
Younger Ai and Mai Tennoji were taught about the heartblades of Soga Village, Purity and Nihil. While Ai was interested in wielding them, Mai didn't like the idea. Enraged, she left her younger sister alone after calling her a coward and started training throwing shuriken, that is, until she thought she hit a bird unintentionally. It was actually hit by something else, so Ai returned to Mai to ask for her help. They took care of the bird for a few days before it could fly again.
One day, Ai was training by herself and found her sister with a boy, treating a worm. She was annoyed by the fact Mai wasn't as enthusiastic to become a shinobi as much as her and tries to teach her a lesson, only to be utterly humiliated by her skills. She left Mai behind, questioning her own path. After bathing, she overheard her sister talking with the village's master about ceasing all shinobi activity since they are no longer needed.
