— Mai Tennoji to Ai Tennoji |
"Life is Suffering" (
Summary

Mai stabs Ai.
Ai Tennoji questioned her sister about what she heard before, and Mai defends that shinobi should know more about the world. After this event, they stopped to talk with each other completely. One day, while she was training, Ai would fall from the tree, but she was saved by Tokimaru, a fellow shinobi who came from the recently incendiated village, which was nearby. He expressed the wish to serve under Ai, so she took on the opportunity to improve her training's quality.
While Mai is enjoying some tea with a bear, she witnessed Ai riding on Tokimaru's back and got curious. Even though Ai initially wanted to keep him all for herself, the three would eventually pass time together and the sisters would start interacting again. As Ai was actually liking this new life, Mai would betray the village and kill many of its residents, and also stab her sister's heart with Purity.
As Ai finishes to tell her story to the Shy and Lady Black, they are approached by Inori Hallelujah.
