Summary
As Shy connects with Utsuro Karakururi through her Heart-Shift Bracelets, Purity explains she is seeing Utsuro's memories. She discovers that Mai Tennoji's talents would make her receive many secret missions of assassination. To that, she would mask her compassion away. However, one day, she was forced to kill her bear friends, since they attacked a house in search for food.
As her heart couldn't bear the guilt no more and started to believe shinobi were now unnecessary, she ran away from the village after stealing Nihil and stabbing her sister. Finally, Shy reaches the deepest part of Mai's heart, where Ai slumbers. Mai states that she didn't want things to be like they are now, and asks Shy to protect Ai. Purity then instructs Shy to disconnect, and when she does so, Utsuro is in utter disbelief.
Shy has successfully rescued Ai.
