— Nagi Watatsumi's monologue |
"Standing for Yourself" (スタンディング・フォー・ユアセルフ Sutandingu fō Yuaserufu?) is the third chapter of Volume 10, and eightieth overall of the SHY manga series.
Summary
Nagi Watatsumi started a solo career with the incentive of her fellow colleagues, but she felt lonely in doing so. Worried for her safety, Shy follows Nagi without calling her company nor the police, and that is because she thinks she must have a reason to skip work like that. Nagi ends up revealing to her that she wanted to see a live show from her former group. Though she intends on coming back and thinks they must despise her, Shy encourages her on trying since they are important to her.
At the show, Nagi makes an entrance by singing and is nervous at first, but her former colleagues are happy to see her after so much time. Nagi remembers what Shy has told her, and embraces the moment. After the show, Nagi approaches Shy and tells her that she finally understands that heroes are people just like her. Just then, her manager appears, angrier as ever, and Nagi leaves after thanking her for her help.
A few days later, Teru is excited to see the new show Nagi has filmed in her town, and both her and N. Villio notice she seems much more confident than before.
