"Before the Storm" (べフォア・ザ・ストーム Befoa za Sutōmu?) is the second chapter of Volume 11, and eighty-eighth overall of the SHY anime series.
Summary[]
Doki Baragaki arrives at his Plushy Land to make a grave for Holy Mother Bear. While he is tending to one of his plushies, three children try to ambush him as a prank but to no avail. They sit down, reporting the cute things they did, and Doki instructs them to plant some flower seeds in the city. The children initially don't think they would be able to grow as they don't have enough water, but Doki shoves them off and tells them to leave already. Before leaving, one of the girls give him a Doki-like plush, and he gets awfully happy about it.
After he is left alone, he reveals that he has taken the CEO of one of the biggest weapon manufacturing companies of the world hostage. He did that out of spite for all he has done to the children's city, selling weapons to be used in war and for interested costumers. It seems Doki would kill him, but doesn't do it because it wouldn't be cute. He actually wanted to ask him to make it rain in exchange of his freedom, though he has fallen unconscious out of shock.
Just then, Sekirara Lovesong makes her presence known. She tells him Shy has disappeared and Nirvana has been acting in her stead, which means that they must have discovered their plan of finding her. Doki correctly states that it was her fault for being so obvious in her search. However, he is certain that she would appear should they attack other heroes.
