Appearance
Daigo is a petite young boy with spiky, blonde hair with bangs swept to the right side of his face and big, bright yellow eyes. When saved for the first time by Shy, he wore a hoddie, pants, socks at the calves and sneakers. By the time he was saved again by Shy, he wore a hoodie, shorts and sneakers without socks.
Personality
Daigo is a gentle, kind and an authentic child. He loves superheroes more than anything and believes in them with all of his heart. His words inspired Teru and made her notice that she needs to be there to protect her people, even if she is scared.[4] He demonstrated to be very polite as he didn't forget to thank Shy after everything was okay.[5]
Iko is the only family he has to look up for and such, he cares deeply for her and is very proud of her.
History
Iko and Daigo's parents died in a fire when he was younger. Since then, he has been taken care of by his older sister.
Synopsis
Iko accompanied Daigo to the Heartman's show in Himawari Land. Shy was there, too, but due to her timidness, she bores the public with her stutter, however, Daigo wishes her good luck and she thanks him. He then goes to the rolercoaster with her sister only for it to stop in the middle of the loop. Their screams catches Shy's attention and she comes to save them, but Iko tells her to save her brother and the others first. Although she complained at first, she does so and Daigo is saved. His sister, however, couldn't make it in time as the cart started moving backwards and even with Shy's effort to save her, she is badly injured and interned as a result.
Daigo is saved by Teru.
About a month after, Teru meets Daigo again but at a building which was on fire. A firefighter was trying to tell him that he should be away of the building but he says that he is Shy and he has to save those people. The firefighter tries to convince him again but to no avail, as he then says that anyone can be a hero if they want to save and protect people. The building explodes and a debris iss going to fall on him but he is saved at the last minute by Teru. He asks her who she is and she responds that she is Shy and she was going to take everything up from there. Left dumbfounded, Daigo observes her jumping towards the building.
After the fire was supressed, Daigo spots Shy and thanks her for saving him. Before she could apologize for what happened back then at the amusement park, he thanks her for saving his sister and himself, telling her that Iko fully recovered and could return for school. After that, he says goodbye to her and leaves.
