Shy Wiki

Made in Heart (心遺物 (メイド・イン・ハート) Meido in Hāto?)[1] are a special type of ring made by Stigma which can grants superpowers to the user through the heart.

Overview

Made in Heart are a special type of ring which connects Stigma's heart to the user, matching their energy length waves to his.[2] It is described to have pieces of his own heart, and it allows him to forcefully extract the darkest sides of the user's heart. Similar to Heart-Shift Bracelets, they are also able to connect its user to those they touch, allowing them to see the memories of each other. For example, Tzveta Kooriskaya absorbed Spirit's memories by touch, and Spirit saw Tzveta's memories at the same time.[3]

Made in Heart was first introduced as a catalyst to Iko Koishikawa's hatred for herself. For a normal civilian, it may forcefully manifest the users' heart, and the user may not be able to have full control over themselves. Futhermore, they may feel excruciating pain constantly, and unconsciously attack any and everything around them, making it difficult for heroes to deal with it without any casualties. Victims may also be unable to remember events that happened while they were under the ring's influence: Iko could barely recall anything about her fight with Shy, but could tell what she saw about Stigma's heart.[4] The first appearance of Made in Heart was over a year ago, and Stardust was forced to cut his friend's finger off to retrieve the ring.[5] Shy was the first hero to be able to retrieve a ring intact.[6]

The Amarariruku, however, brought new questions to the heroes about the rings. For members of the Amarariruku, the ring serves the purpose of keeping their existence consistent, since each and every one of them are already technically dead. It seems the full potential for each Amarariruku's abilities is directly linked to their memories and feelings, as Tzveta and Utsuro Karakururi were only able to achieve their full potential once they touched, respectively, Spirit and Ai Tennoji, recovering the missing pieces of their hearts. Made in Heart is not visible in their body, and may appear only after they die and disappear.[7] Even after their death, however, the ring still has fragments of their heart, and are able to connect with heroes' Heart-Shift Bracelets to upgrade their abilities. Just like Heart-Shift Bracelets, Made in Heart grants its user different sets of abilities based on their personalities.

Amarariruku

Alongside their unique abilities, members of the Amarariruku can expand their hearts into a personal space and forcefully envelop others into it. This personal space was called Amarariruku (心の中 (アマラリルク) ? , lit. "inside one's Heart") by Tzveta.[8] While it elevates the users abilities drastically, it deeply harms any civilians inside of it: Tzveta's Amarariruku initially made Yuri Orphanage's residents unconscious, and Utsuro's Amarariruku left bystanders of Tokyo in a zombie-like state while draining their life source.

Known Users

  • Iko Koishikawa: A victim of Stigma, and a forced user of a Made in Heart. Since she is just an ordinary civilian, the effects of the ring manifested themselves as excruciatingly painful black crystals. While she was under the influence of it, she had her physical capabilities increased. Shy was able to save her and retrieve the ring intact, and it is now in the possession of Unilord. Supposedly, Iko's injured leg was healed as a side effect of the ring.[9]
  • Tzveta Kooriskaya: A member of the Amarariruku. Her ring has a single ice flower on it, and it gave her the ability to control ice. After Tzveta's death, the ring is now in the heroes' possession.
  • Utsuro Karakururi: A member of the Amarariruku. Her ring has a single lotus flower on it, and it gave her the ability to erase people's minds and manipulate the wind. After Utsuro's death, the ring is now in Shy's possession.
