SHY (SHY (シャイ) Shai?) is an anime series produced by Eight Bit based on the original manga by Bukimi Miki. The adaptation was announced on October 6, 2022, in issue 45 of Weekly Shonen Champion. On July 20, 2023, Crunchyroll announced it had acquired exclusive international rights to the series.

The first season aired from October 3 to December 19, 2023, called Hometown of Ice Arc (氷の故郷編 Kōri no Furusato-hen?).

A second season aired from July 2 to September 24, 2024, called Recapturing Tokyo Arc (東京奪還編 Tōkyō Dakkan-hen?).

Synopsis

Around the middle of the 21st century, all war on Earth ceased. The sudden widespread appearance of "Heroes," people with supernatural powers who wish only for peace, has drastically transformed the world. In a world where the Heroes of each country work to maintain this newfound peace, the one protecting Japan is a young girl named Shy who is...cripplingly shy.
