Shy Wiki

Be somebody's hero... I had forgotten that... But if she said I can be somebody's hero again...then I'll do it, even if it's embarrassing...!

Tojiko Asuka's monologue in "Interview With a Hero"

Tojiko Asuka (飛鳥 (あすか) とじ () Asuka Tojiko?) is a reporter for Akita Publishing.

Appearance

Tojiko is a young woman with dark hair stylized in a messy ponytail. When she interviewed Shy, she wore a shirt beneath a jacket, an ID card over her neck and pants.

Personality

Tojiko is lively and enthusiastic, but sometimes may face low self-esteem due to her line of work.

History

When she was just a child, Tojiko wrote an article for the "Children's Newspaper" and her grandmother really liked it. She would encourage Tojiko to be a reporter and she followed that advice. At some point, she began working at Akita Publishing.

Synopsis

Volume 4

As Tojiko's articles were constantly being refused by her superior, Tojiko struggles to find a good scoop. However, she witnesses Shy saving a child from a falling debris and takes it as an opportunity of a good story. After brigging her to a cafeteria, Tojiko begins asking her some simple questions about her personal life and interests, and is surprised by how similar she herself is to the Japanese Hero.

Shy notices her old notebook, which makes Tojiko remembers her grandmother, but she doesn't think of herself as a good reporter. Shy tells her that she should do more interviews like that one, that way she would be someone else's hero, too. This encourages Tojiko, and she goes back to her working place motivated.

Volume 7

As Tokyo's downtown is covered by Utsuro Karakururi's Amarariruku, Tojiko is seen watching the news.

Volume 9

Tojiko is among the press after Tokyo's incident and asks for a few words of encouragement from operation leader Shy. As she receives it, Tojiko says she has her full support.
